My apologies for the length of this but it has been a long gurney. My remaining problem is "How do I get Outlook to put new messages in D:\SOP\Desktop\Outlook Files\Outlook.pst. Now my home screen on the left looks better but I only have the old messages. Here I found 3 folder names,I deleted all but me. The folder is listed as D:\SOP\Desktop\Outlook Files\Outlook.pst which looks good to me. The fix probably starts with File> Account Settings > Account settings Anyone having the same problem or is there a solution. If I move the emails then its ok but when I move the emails back it shows up as green as mention above. I would like the new stuff to just be in one place. When emails comes into the inbox it does not shows in blue of the inbox in (1) but green like the Draft folder. It would be fine with me if all the old stuff just dispersed. Size 928 messages.Īlong the left side of the home screen at the top is Favorites and right under that is Inbox with 975 files (all old stuff) then a little lower is Outlook Data file and Inbox under that with 975 messages, again all old. There also is an outlook.pst file at this location of a similar size to Along the left side of the Outlook home screens is a group of folders under the heading of It contains all my old e-mails. The original ones are at: D:\Desktop\Documents\Outlook and this is where the inbox is looking for more files.
